Srila Prabhupada, the founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), translated Bhagavad-Gita into English Language in 1960.
Srila Prabhupada began his translation of the Bhagavad Gita in the mid-1960s, while he was living in Vrindavan, India. He had previously published several books on spiritual topics in India, but he felt that the Bhagavad Gita was particularly important for Western audiences who were seeking spiritual guidance.

The first volume of “Bhagavad-gita As It Is” was published in 1968, and it quickly gained popularity among Western readers who were seeking spiritual guidance. The translation has since been translated into dozens of languages and has become one of the most widely read and influential translations of the Bhagavad Gita in the world.
